บางครั้งเราอาจไม่ได้รับในสิ่งที่เราชอบ บางครั้งสิ่งที่เราชอบอาจไม่มีให้เราเลือก คนเราไม่สามารถจะได้ทุกอย่างที่เราชอบ ก็แค่ทำใจให้ชอบสิ่งที่เรามี

         ต้องเข้าใจว่า  ถ้าเราต้องอยู่กับอะไรที่เราไม่ชอบ  (สำหรับพายุต้องเรียกว่า “เกลียด” วงแบน ด้วยซ้ำ)   เราก็จะไม่มีความสุข   เพราะจะหนีก็หนีไม่ได้   ต้องเจอมันทุกวัน   เมื่อต้องเลือกในสิ่งที่เราไม่ชอบ    ก็ต้องชอบสิ่งนั้นให้ได้  ทุกอย่างอยู่ที่ใจ

If you can’t get whatever you like, you must like whatever you have.

Sometimes, we may not get whatever we want. Whereas, there may be times when we may not even have the chance to choose what we like. Since we cannot get everything that we like, we must come to terms with whatever we have.

That’s right! Someone may disagree and say that it is easy for Kruu Kate to say! Well, it is indeed ‘easy to say’ but ‘difficult to do’! However, you will never know unless you try.

When Payu was studying in Singapore, the new term had already begun for nearly a month. At that time, all his friends had already chosen their desired CCAs, so the quota for the one that he liked was full. Out of all the CCA available, Band was the only one that was not filled up. Eventually, he joined the Band unwillingly.

His teacher forced him to play the woodwind instruments, but he did not like them. Since he had been playing the piano since young, he was not as skilled when it came to woodwind instruments.

However, the teacher, who was in charge of Band, was very fierce and also spoke vulgarly. As such, he had no choice but to practice the woodwind instrument until late every day, causing him to feel tired and bored of it.

Subsequently, I have to listen to Payu nagging and crying every day. Payu told me that he wanted to change his CCA, but his teacher informed him that he could not change his CCA until he graduates from secondary school.

Hence, I told Payu that if he had to stay in his current CCA and there was not any other instrument that he liked, he needed to come to terms with his current woodwind instrument and practice it until he was able to play it well.

Even if he were to tell himself every day that he hated it and was bored of it, he would still not be able to escape from playing his instrument, causing him great grief over time.

You must understand that if we must be with whatever we dislike (In the case of Payu, it is more accurate for us to use the word ‘hate’ instead.), we will not have happiness. That is because no matter how much we want to, we simply cannot escape it and have to face it every day. When we have to do something that we dislike, we have to come to terms with it and gradually like it. Whatever emotions that we feel, it ultimately depends on your heart.
